Dear friend,

Wolfowitz is on the brink. International support for him has collapsed--but the Bush administration is trying to prop him up. Your help now could mean victory!

Avaaz has just released a video spoofing the global TV programme "The Office"--with Wolfowitz in the role of the awful boss. World Bank staff and international media are telling us they’re excited about the video and our petition. Could you help build the pressure on Wolfowitz by forwarding this email to ten of your friends? Ask them to watch the video and sign up here:

The Office is a global phenomenon, with hit editions in the UK, the US, Germany, France, and French Canada. Everyone everywhere knows what it's like to have the wrong person in charge. And Paul Wolfowitz, through a mix of ideology, arrogance, self-righteousness, and now corruption and hypocrisy, is a classic nightmare boss. So what better way to shame - and fire - Wolfowitz than to put him into The Office?

The video has already attracted international press attention. Reporters are writing about Avaaz's "fire wolfowitz" petition - which 40,000 of us from 189 countries have already signed. If the petition grows now and the video spreads, the pressure to fire Wolfowitz could become unstoppable.

Send the petition and the video to ten of your friends now:

We wouldn’t trust Paul Wolfowitz to run The Office’s paper company. But for his unforgivable work on the Iraq war, George Bush gave Wolfowitz control of life-or-death decisions affecting hundreds of millions through the Bank. Now he’s been caught red-handed. This is a moment when global pressure really can make a difference -- and bring a little justice to the World Bank.

With hope,

Ben, Hannah, Ricken, and the rest of the Avaazteam

PS: We got help on the video from Phil de Vellis, a fan of Avaaz who made the YouTube "1984" Hillary Clinton ad that became a global phenomenon. (Thanks, Phil!) Our Wolfowitz video used the US version of The Office because that's where the World Bank is located--but if you have some time this weekend, please make your own version, upload it to YouTube, and tell us about it!
